Dale graduated from Northampton University with a 1st Class degree in Drama & Theatre Studies.  He has also trained extensively with of institutions including; Birmingham School of Acting and British Academy of Stage & Screen Combat. 


Throughout his career, Dale has worked across the country as an actor, writer and director.  However, it is his passion for developing children’s theatre and working with youth theatre that has shaped his career.  In 2012, Dale founded Munchkins & Monsters Theatre with the express aim of creating highly imaginative, interactive and engaging worlds for families to enjoy. 


In addition to his work with Munchkins & Monsters, Dale also works at Royal & Derngate, Northampton as a ‘Creative Projects Associate’.  Here, he also works with their youth theatre and has directed many productions for its participants.

Dale Forder

Laura studied Theatre Arts at East 15 Acting School and graduated from Northampton University in 2015 with a First Class Drama degree. It was during her time at university that she found a passion for children’s theatre and joined Munchkins and Monsters Theatre as an actress.


Since then she has starred in co-written and co-directed

‘Back in Time for Breakfast’

‘Wind in the Willows’

‘The Reluctant Dragon’.


As well as acting Laura has passion for community and youth theatre and has significant experience leading and assisting with community and youth projects. Laura has completed placements at The Royal & Derngate and The Ferrers School as Youth Theatre Assistant, been a practitioner for creative projects at homeless shelters and led her own drama projects with young people exploring anxiety.


Outside of Munchkins and Monsters Theatre Laura has worked as an education facilitator using creative learning to discuss equality with young people. At present she is the Learning and Partnerships Officer at The Queens Theatre in Hornchurch.

Lewis graduated from the University of Northampton with a 2.1 in Drama. During his studies he was the main technician handling both Lighting and Sound Design and operation for Graduate shows;


Wildwood King, The Elephant in the Room, Mobile Phone Show, Water for Elephants, 51 Shi and Backwards Fall.


After graduating he trained as an Assistant Practitioner for youth theatre at the Royal and Derngate assisting on various shows over the course of 2 years including;


Gaslight, The Herbal Bed, Soul, The Grandfather Clock, Romeo, and Juliet and 3 years assisting their Connections Festival.


After the Royal and Derngate, he joined Warts and All’s theatre company as Assistant Director on their production of Little Criminals.


Lewis Joined Munchkins and Monsters in 2015 as our resident Technician and has toured with all our shows since. During 2018 he helped Co-Develop our new and improved version of The Reluctant Dragon.
